Style guide

Soft, sweet and seriously readable.

Everything that gives the planner its coquette look: the palette, the type, the cards and icons, the grid paper and the page formats. Use it to keep every new page and listing photo on brand.

Color palette

Five colors, each with one job.

Pink and cream carry the mood, dusty rose draws the lines, white keeps prints bright and charcoal does the reading work.

  • Soft Pastel Pink

    #FFD1DC

Highlights, active tabs, card labels and color-in fills

Use as a fill and pair it with charcoal text.

  • Warm Cream

    #FFFDD0

Header bands, tinted cards and a warm paper feel

Use at 50 to 80% strength on large areas so pages stay airy.

  • Dusty Rose

    #DCAE96

Lines, borders, icons, grid paper and chart strokes

Decorative only. Never use it for small text.

  • Clean White

    #FFFFFF

    Page background and card fill

The base of every page, so prints stay bright and ink-friendly.

  • Deep Charcoal

    #2C2C2C

    All text, numbers and labels

Softer than pure black and still highly readable.

Supporting ink

Rosewood Ink

Accent text: script words, eyebrows and links. A deeper dusty rose added so accent words pass contrast on white and cream.

Contrast checks

Measured with the WCAG formula. Body text needs 4.5:1, large headings 3:1.

Typography

Clean sans headers, a whisper of handwriting.

Two sans serifs do the work, a mono face keeps numbers tidy and one script word per page adds the coquette touch.

Elements

Rounded cards, soft shadows, tiny icons.

The building blocks repeated across every page. Reuse them as they are and new pages will always feel like part of the set.

Cards & surfaces

  • Vehicle profile
    Make & model

    Content card

Rounded rectangle, 0.15 in corners on US Letter, a 1 px dusty rose border at 45% and a soft dusty rose drop shadow.

  • Tinted cards

Cream cards hold tips and calculators, pink tints mark results. Labels flip to white pills on pink.

  • The bow

A custom ribbon bow marks every page header, the footer and the cover. It is the logo of the product line.

Field markers

  • Nickname

    Write-in line

Uppercase label with a dusty rose rule. Rows are sized for handwriting.

  • kWh

    Number box

Rounded box with the unit printed in mono at the bottom right.

  • EVPHEVHybrid

    Chip select

Circle one option. Used for drivetrain, charge port and chemistry.

  • Coffee stopFast charger

    Checkbox

Small rounded squares, sometimes paired with an icon for quick scanning.

  • Battery gauge

Ten segments with the healthy 20 to 80% range shaded pink.

  • 12345678910111213141516

    Habit circles

Numbered day circles and month circles turn routines into streaks.

  • Color-in cells

Each cell is a fixed amount, here 25 kg of CO₂, colored in with a pen or highlighter.

  • kWh ×= $

    Formula strip

Fill-in boxes with the math printed between them, so results take seconds.

Icons

Thin line icons in rosewood: battery levels, lightning bolts, leaves and car care. One icon per label, never decoration for its own sake.

Grid paper

Dusty rose lines at low strength sit behind every page. Notes areas switch to dots or ruled lines.

  • Page grid · about 5 mm squares

  • Dot grid · notes and sketches

  • Ruled lines · journals and trip notes

Layout & formats

One grid, three page sizes.

Every page is drawn on the same grid and scales to each format, so the design stays identical while taller pages simply gain extra rows.

Two-column card grid

Profiles, rates and summaries sit side by side, with full-width logs between them.

Three plus two split

Timelines, charts and schedules take three fifths, their companion cards the other two.

Twelve-month grid

Trackers, tables and charts share one month grid, so readings line up with their plot points.
